Join as a Sr. Member
What is a CAP Sr. Member?
A CAP Sr. Member refers to an adult member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). Sr. Members can compete for rank, contribute to the squadron’s operations, participate in emergency Services (ES), support the Cadet Program, and given specific job roles. Sr. Members are encouraged to attend meetings, visit squadrons, and join activities that help them build their skills and contribute positively to CAP.
How to join:
Step 1
Contact the squadron and arrange to attend a meeting. NER-NY-135 meets every Wednesday 6:30pm -9pm

Step 2
Attend a meeting and meet with the Squadron Commander, 1 St Lt Cynthia Wilson.
Step 3
Complete the Membership Application and FD 258 Fingerprint Card (available at your squadron).
Annual membership dues vary by state.
Step 4
Submit your application, fingerprint card, and dues through one of the following ways:
Mail
You can pay your dues by check (written out to Civil Air Patrol) or with a money order.
If paying by credit card, include the information listed below to process the application. The required information includes:

3 Digit Security Code on the Back of the Card

Step 5
Participation
In order to assist with cadet activities, anyone of the ages 18 or older, must complete Level 1. This is a series of learning modules that can be complete in-person at the squadron or online through CAP’s eServices portal.
